Who Owns The Thomas Center

The Thomas Center for Senior Leadership is owned and operated by the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Housing Company, LLC, (Housing Company) a non-profit, Alaska limited liability company formed in May 2015. The St. Mary’s Episcopal Church (Church) is the owner of the Housing Company.

Additionally, the Church has retained ownership of the land on which the Thomas Center facility is constructed, leasing it to the Housing Company.

Day-To-Day Management

A full-time General Manager (GM) oversees the day-to-day operations of the Thomas Center. The GM reports to the Board of Managers. During evenings, nights and weekends, a Chaplain/Resident Advisor lives in one of the apartment units.

Resident's Council

The residents of the Thomas Center gather monthly to address common concerns and issues of interest to all residents. The Resident Council will be encouraged to bring forward issues requiring guidance or decision from the Board of Managers. Each resident is also encouraged to bring any concern forward to the GM or Chaplain for help in resolution.
